October
We began October at the Tate Modern for a spectacular Picasso inspired event. Taking cues from the artist’s bold, expressive style, our team designed a series of bespoke canape trays. Each one was completely unique, referencing Picasso’s extraordinary artistic journey and the various phases of his artistic development. Continuing the artistic theme, we catered the prestigious Collectors’ Dinner at Frieze, presented in collaboration with Loewe Perfumes. Working alongside Maison François, our team delivered a stylish celebratory dinner for 500 guests drawn from London’s art scene and wider creative community.
The month also marked a special moment at Banqueting House, which opened for events after a period of conservation and maintenance. We were delighted to cater two events here in October, including one for Word on The Street, as well as a beautifully curated drinks reception for London Event Productions.
We rounded off the month in true By Word of Mouth tradition with our annual Halloween Party at HQ. This year’s theme, Once Upon a Fright: Fairytales, Folklore & Fantasy, sparked a remarkable level of creativity. Our team dressed as characters from Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, with many of the costumes made from scratch by our in-house creative team. You can see the full behind the scenes video over on Instagram. It was wonderful to welcome so many venue partners, and the V&A stole the show with their The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe costumes- complete with Turkish Delight and even a walking wardrobe.
Food played its own starring role, with a bubbling raclette station, sticky, slow roasted beef short ribs, smoked tomato & chilli rubbed whole roasted halibut, and a wildly popular tiramisu and cannoli bar.
A special thank you goes to our incredible partners: Wise Productions, Lavender Green Flowers, Jones Hire, Sternberg Clarke and Harry Pseftoudis on photography.

November
November arrived with its usual energy and intensity, ushering in one of our busiest periods of the year. It was a privilege, as always, to bring extraordinary events to life across some of London’s most renowned venues.
The month included a musical themed celebration at the Young V&A, a company gathering aboard the historic Cutty Sark, and a wonderfully unexpected office transformation, where a meeting room was reimagined as a traditional English pub. We also catered a charity auction at Lancaster House, a Thanksgiving dinner, and numerous seasonal celebrations across London.
One of the standout moments of the month was a dinner in the newly opened Gallery ‘Space’ at the Science Museum. Guests dined surrounded by extraordinary artefacts, including Helen Sharman’s Sokol spacesuit (the very suit worn by the first Briton in space)and a three billion year old moon sample (brought back to Earth by Apollo 15). The menu was equally inspiring, beginning with chalk stream trout mi-cuit, followed by a sous-vide fillet of Surrey beef, and finishing with Space, a bespoke pudding encased in a shimmering gold and purple chocolate sphere. Once placed on the table, our servers poured a Valrhona Macae chocolate sauce over the sphere, melting away to reveal the delicious sour cherry semifreddo. Make sure to check out our reel to see how the event unfolded.

December
As December arrived, the pace didn’t slow – instead, the festive season brought new opportunities to celebrate, connect and give back.
City Harvest launched their annual fundraising target via the Big Give campaign. Thanks to this initiative, donations raised through our November events were doubled, enabling even more meals to reach children experiencing food insecurity across the city. We are looking forward to spending a morning volunteering at City Harvest’s New Covent Garden Market hub in January to kick start another year of partnership with this inspiring charity.
The month also held some special festive treats for our team. Kew Gardens invited us to experience the magic of Christmas at Kew, an evening filled with lights, installations and winter food stalls. Florists Lavender Green and Pinstripes & Peonies both invited us to their much loved wreath making workshops, which have firmly become a favourite annual treats.
The final events of the year carried an extra touch of enchantment. We were at the V&A for a beautifully festive Christmas celebration, where guests enjoyed a comforting winter menu featuring roasted turkey breast and a rich sticky toffee, date & ginger pudding. Shortly after, we headed to Two Temple Place for an elegant evening of festive canapes and taster plates served within one of London’s most atmospheric spaces.
To close the season, our team gathered for our own festive Christmas lunch. It was the perfect moment to pause, reflect on the year gone by, and enjoy a home cooked meal together.
From all of us at By Word of Mouth, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We look forward to seeing you in 2026.
