Dr Johnson’s House

Dr Johnson’s House is a unique, Grade I listed venue in the heart of the historic City of London. Samuel Johnson, the writer and wit, lived and worked here in the middle of the eighteenth century, compiling his great Dictionary of the English Language in the Garret.

The house has a long history of entertaining, providing a charming and atmospheric setting for both corporate and private events. The beautiful, historic interiors feature panelled rooms, wooden floors and historic collections of books, paintings and artefacts making this a fascinating space in which to hold your event.
