Speak to anybody in-the-know about creating a new website and they will wisely tell you that the process always takes a whole year. By Word of Mouth’s new site, launched at the end of October, was indeed first discussed in the autumn of 2015 when the seeds were sown, the ideas brain stormed and the wish list drawn up.
The past year has involved a great deal of meetings, copy writing, image selection and editing. all crammed in with the normal day job. However, the time was well spent as we feel we have exactly what we want – a fresh, colourful and vibrant site that is simple to navigate, contains a great deal of useful information and is a true reflection of our brand values. The little film on the home page brings our company to life in a way a static image never could and the Style section offers an insight into our influences, inspirations and latest finds in the world of food and design. A photo shoot with the very talented Holly Clark has resulted in a Team page that celebrates every department in the business and is a reminder that every single member of team BWoM is a contributor to our success. The dedicated Venues section incorporates a page for each of our venue partners giving details and images that will inspire and inform – a celebration of the many working relationships we enjoy with many of the UK’s finest buildings.
Of course, the site didn’t come together without the support of industry professionals and a mention must of course go to those that guided us and helped us create something that has exceeded our expectations: James from Design Ensemble, Tony from Hype London and the team from Reload – thank you!
